I Built My Own Path as an SEO Specialist
A self-directed journey through SEO—and the work that eventually became AnalytIQs+.
My path into SEO was not direct or continuous. It developed through different fields, repeated attempts, and long periods of independent learning. Eventually, I decided to build a place where everything I had learned could come together and become sustained work.
I’m Alla
I’m an SEO specialist and the founder and writer behind AnalytIQs+. My work brings together search research, content design, analysis, and publishing.
My professional path has not followed one straight line. I began my working life in hospitality, returned to university to study finance, and later moved through sales, account management, and logistics. Along the way, I gradually developed my work in SEO through independent learning and practical experience.
AnalytIQs+ is where those different parts of my professional life have finally come together.
Although I never worked professionally in finance, studying it changed how I interpret information and make decisions.
It taught me that numbers do not explain themselves. An increasing number is not automatically positive, and a declining number is not automatically negative. Before accepting the story attached to a result, I want to understand the conditions that produced it, what is being measured, and what the number may still be leaving out.
That habit continues to influence how I approach search data, performance metrics, and business decisions today.
Study shaped how I interpret information. Work shaped how I respond to problems, responsibility, and people.
My early professional experience was in hospitality. I worked in client-facing positions where complaints and problems often reached me before they reached management. I learned to listen, understand what was actually happening, resolve what was within my responsibility, and recognize when a decision needed to be escalated. It taught me how to keep a conversation steady while the underlying problem was still unresolved.
I later moved into logistics and sales, where much of my work involved managing existing accounts, maintaining communication, and following established processes consistently.
Those roles taught me discipline, responsibility, and composure. I was not always calm when problems appeared. That was something I developed through mistakes and experience. Over time, I learned not to react before I understood the problem.
That work did not become the professional direction I eventually chose. It was, however, where I learned how to work, and that turned out to matter more than the fields themselves.
SEO became the field I kept returning to.
My introduction to digital marketing came through a business analysis I helped prepare while working for a family business. It exposed me to PPC, SEO, social media optimization, and the broader digital environment.
At first, I understood very little about how those areas worked together. I began with PPC because it felt more direct. My early understanding of SEO was also limited. Like many people entering the field, I initially believed it was largely about writing blog posts and placing keywords.
The deeper understanding came gradually.
I learned through courses, including training from the Digital Marketing Institute, as well as reading, experimentation, websites, campaigns, practical projects, and mistakes. Some projects ended. Others were abandoned. There were also long periods when I stepped away from SEO entirely.
The progression was uneven rather than continuous. What held it together was not momentum but return. I kept coming back to the same field after each interruption.
Those earlier attempts taught me an important lesson: a professional identity cannot remain ahead of the work supporting it. A project becomes difficult to sustain when its presentation, claims, or ambitions exceed what has actually been built.
That lesson continues to shape how I work as an SEO specialist. It is one reason I remain cautious about inflated titles, exaggerated expertise, and services that have not yet been proven through practice.
My path towards becoming an SEO specialist was largely self-directed. It developed through repeated attempts, independent learning, and the decision to keep returning to the field even when earlier projects did not last.
Each return also clarified something beyond what I still had to learn. The recurring obstacle was that I had nowhere consistent to do the work. The path below shows how those separate stages eventually came together in AnalytIQs+.

I did not find the SEO position I needed, so I built an environment in which I could finally perform the work.
For years, I continued learning SEO without a single environment where the different parts of that work could operate together.
Eventually, I stopped waiting for that environment.
AnalytIQs+ began partly from frustration. I was tired of content that appeared to answer a question but rarely developed the answer far enough to create real understanding. Too much of what I encountered seemed designed primarily to capture attention, qualify a buyer, or move someone towards a sale.
I have nothing against selling services or earning income from professional work. But I do not believe every useful interaction needs to be treated as an unfinished transaction.
I wanted to create work that could remain valuable even when the reader never became my client.
AnalytIQs+ also gave me something I had not previously possessed: a structured and durable place to apply my SEO knowledge, develop my writing, test ideas, and build a public body of work that reflected what I could actually do.
It was the first setting in which I could work fully as an SEO specialist, bringing the separate parts of my experience together rather than applying them in sequence.
AI also changed what was practically possible. It helped me organize research, work through writing blocks, test language, troubleshoot technical problems, and complete parts of the publication that would previously have required outside support. It did not create the reason for AnalytIQs+; it helped me execute the idea with the resources available to me.
The direction, judgement, and responsibility remain mine.
I want the work to earn trust through evidence, not claims of authority.
That standard begins with how I approach problems.
I tend to separate what is visible from what is producing it. A metric may reveal movement without explaining its cause. A recurring issue may be a symptom of something deeper. A commonly accepted answer may still be too general for the specific circumstances in front of me.
For simple problems, I prefer direct solutions. When a problem is recurring or structural, I want to understand where it began, what allowed it to continue, and what could prevent it from returning.
The same standard applies to what I publish.
When a claim is supported, I want the evidence behind it to be visible. When something is an interpretation or opinion, it should be presented as such. When an idea remains untested, I do not want to represent it as a proven result.
I do not want authority to come from an inflated title or from claiming certainty where uncertainty still exists. I want it to develop from the work itself. That is the standard I intend to carry forward as an SEO specialist.
AnalytIQs+ is the most complete expression of that commitment so far—a sustained body of work through which I intend to let the evidence, reasoning, and results speak for themselves.
